Airport Transfers
London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the airport and your London hotel. But when you book your Trafalgar tour and take advantage of our land and air packages, we have included a FREE transfer to and from London's airports and your Trafalgar London hotel. For passengers who have their own flight arrangements we offer you the opportunity to purchase inexpensive transfers to and from London's Heathrow - Trafalgar has negotiated special rates for the Dot2Dot transfer from London's Heathr Important - Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met: For included transfers: Your flights must be booked directly by Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. For chargeable transfers: Your Travel Agent provides detailed flight information to Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. Once transfers are booked they cannot be changed. For London arrivals, you must stay at a London hotel booked by Trafalgar on the night of arrival and the night prior to your departure date. Trafalgar only includes one inbound and one outbound transfer. In the event of flight delays outside of Trafalgar's control, the transfers will be deemed to be cancelled. All transfers are based on group transfers. No refund is therefore available for missed transfers, or passengers not using this service. In the event of unforeseen events (such as road or rail works, strikes or demonstrations), Trafalgar will not be responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers. Heathrow Airport: National Express Dot2Dot will pick up and drop off in time to meet all flights to/from London's Heathrow Airport. For guests arriving at the Dot2Dot desk after 22.00 hrs please make use of the courtesy phone to arrange your transfer to your Trafalgar hotel. Gatwick Airport: Passengers who have booked Trafalgar's Land and Air packages arriving at London's Gatwick Airport are provided with a Gatwick Express train voucher. The Gatwick Express train journey from Gatwick Airport to London's Victoria Station takes 30 minutes. Guests then need to make their way from Victoria Station to their Trafalgar hotel. European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown. Trafalgar Bonus - Passengers who book Trafalgar's Land+Air package and who arrive or depart outside of these specified times on the scheduled arrival and departure day of the tour will also be provided with a transfer. Passengers arriving before or leaving after the scheduled tour days are not entitled to a transfer but may book and purchase one through Trafalgar providing that they also purchase the additional pre and/or post tour hotel night(s) from Trafalgar. Please ask for prices of transfers at the time of booking your extra night accommodation. Land only passengers arriving or departing on the scheduled tour arrival or departure days but whose flights don't coincide with the listed transfer times below may also book and purchase these transfers. Flight details must be provided to Trafalgar not less than 21 days before the flight departure.
Free London Return
Passengers on the 'Land only' option may return to London by Trafalgar motorcoach at NO EXTRA CHARGE, instead of departing from Paris. Accommodation will be required, as arrival in London is late afternoon/early evening. Ask your Travel Agent to book this for you.

Admire the White Cliffs of Dover before our Channel crossing to Calais in France. By coach we travel via Belgium to friendly Amsterdam. On our arrival, we enjoy a Welcome Drink with our Tour Director before boarding our glass-topped boat for a canal cruise - a perfect introduction to the city! | Day 5 | Amsterdam - Rhine Cruise - Rhineland | Amsterdam - Rhine Cruise - Rhineland : Morning orientation in Amsterdam includes Dam Square and the Tower of Tears. Later, we drive past Arnhem into Germany and stop in Cologne to see its gothic cathedral. Then after passing Bonn, we embark on a relaxing Rhine cruise past cafestles and vineyards. We disembark in St. Goar with views of the Lorelei Rock before reaching our Rhineland hotel for the night. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Holiday Inn Mannheim City Centre |
| Day 6 | Rhineland - Munich - Innsbruck | Rhineland - Munich - Innsbruck : Today we cross the Swabian Uplands to Bavarian Munich. Here an orientation tour shows us the Olympic Stadium and Marienplatz with its Glockenspiel. Next we drive to Austria and the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck. On our arrival an orientation tour shows us the Golden Roof and Wilten Basilica.This evening, we enjoy dinner in our hotel. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Grauer Bar |
| Day 7 | Innsbruck - Salzburg - Vienna | Innsbruck - Salzburg - Vienna (2 nights) : Today it's only a short drive to the splendours of Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart. Here our walking tour with a local guide includes locations used in the film "The Sound of Music". Later, we continue our drive towards the River Danube and the baroque elegance of Vienna. | Day 9 | Vienna - Venice (Mestre) | Vienna - Venice (Mestre) (2 nights) : Today we drive into the heart of the Austrian Alps past mountains and small picturesque towns to the Austrian Lake District. Then we continue over the Italian border, where the spectacular Carnic Alps eventually give way to the flat fertile plains of the Veneto region. Soon we arrive in magical Venice where we stay for the next two nights. Tonight, after dinner, maybe take the opportunity to explore Venice by night? | Day 10 | Venice | Venice sightseeing and at leisure : After breakfast we discover this unique Byzantine city on a canal cruise by private motor launch to St. Mark's Square. | Day 11 | Venice (Mestre) - Rome | Venice (Mestre) - Rome (2 nights) : This morning's drive takes us cross the fertile Po valley to join the Autostrada del Sole for our journey through the Apennine Mountains to the Eternal City, Rome for the next two nights. | Day 12 | Rome | Rome sightseeing and at leisure : A guided visit of St. Peter's Basilica, including the Pieta of Michelangelo, then we cross the Tiber to ancient Rome for views of the Forum and the mighty Colosseum, plus the Circus Maximus, renowned for chariot races. Then time at leisure to relax in a sidewalk cafe or take an optional excursion to visit the catacombs, or the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel. (Buffet breakfast) |
| Day 13 | Rome - Florence | Rome - Florence : This morning we drive through the Chianti wine region of Tuscany en route to Renaissance Florence. Our guided walking tour shows us the cathedral, the baptistery, Signoria Square and we visit Santa Croce Basilica. Then, before we have time to shop for leather and gold, our Tour Director shows us a Hidden Treasure! This evening, we enjoy a delicious Highlight Dinner in a typical Florentine restaurant. | Day 14 | Florence - Lucerne | Florence - Lucerne (2 nights) : Our day starts with a drive via Bologna and Milan towards the Italian and Swiss Lake Districts to beautiful Lugano. Afterwards we continue on through the Italian-speaking Ticino region to the St. Gotthard route across the Alps. Next on through the St. Gotthard tunnel to lakeside Lucerne.
